药材黑鸡汤 Herbal Black Chicken Soup
We were taught that a good double-boiled soup is always elegantly clear and finely flavoured. Good Double boiling is not as easy as boiling over another boil. The proteins and ingredients are to be prepared diligently prior,some to be boiled, some steamed, some brine, some toasted.
This is a nourishing soup that is suitable for all as the herbs and its ratio used are intended to be soothing and nourish the blood and qi:
1. whole Black Chicken (Not de-skinned, mom shuns oily food but she believes the natural oil and fats from a good protein is highly nutritious)

Portion & packaging: Ingredients are packed in grilling paper that is made using Finnish log pulp, without a fluorescent agent, silicone-coated. 950ml of soup is packed to the brim in a glass container.
To Serve: Heat up the soup either on its own or with the ingredients. There are no additional nutritional benefits to bring the ingredients and soup to a boil together, please avoid doing that for an extended time as it will make the soup cloudy and loses the elegance of a double-boiled soup.
